Christmas Party
Mason and Brady had their Christmas parties today. Of course, they were at the same time so I only made it to Mason's. We decorated little reindeer ornaments.
Brady's class had a carnival themed party with lots of dancing and fun games. They had a (pork-free) hot dog lunch and then went to recess and then watched a movie. What a fun day!

Ryan travels in style when we're not around. Here's the view from the hotel pool in Singapore. Working hard, are ya?

Let's Get Physical
Brady had a field day (of sorts) at school. It was called Run, Jump and Throw Day. There were a lot of different activities all involving running, jumping or throwing. It was all just for fun and everyone was celebrated. I was able to watch for a bit before I ran off to Mason's class to participate in Santa's Workshop. We decorated Christmas shapes that will decorate their Santa hats. They also made Christmas cards and beaded pipe-cleaner wreaths. It's a shame I didn't get any pictures of his class! I was elbow-deep in glitter, glue and sequins.
Celebration for making a basket! |
Look at the arm on that kid! |
Every field day needs a potato sack race |
We took the boys to the batting cages on Saturday. They had so much fun, especially Brady. It was good practice for him and he enjoyed it. Mason was excited to start learning how to play baseball, too.

Brady's 1st Tooth
Wow! Brady has (finally) lost his first tooth. This must be some kind of record considering that he is 7 1/2 years old. I imagine they are all going to start falling out now.
It has been wiggly for weeks and he pulled it all by himself today at school. Luckily, I was at the school while it happened. I was putting up Christmas decorations in Mason's class and Brady passed by to say hi and that he was on his way to recess. Not long after that, he ran back in and said, "Mom, I pulled my tooth!" He said it was "soooo wiggly." By this time his class was eating their snack. All the kids ran up to me and told me that Brady had pulled his tooth. I think they were excited, too! He had a little treasure box and his tooth was inside. I told him I wanted to see it, but he said we couldn't open it because it might fall out. I hope he doesn't lose it and that he remembers to bring it home.
He was a little shocked, but also excited. I'm so glad he did it on his own. He was about to let Ryan pull it out last night, but I interfered and told both of them no. Brady needed to do this on his own time and do it for himself. It's definitely a right of passage and I don't want to have to be pulling all his teeth for him. Let's be honest, it kind of grosses me out.
Here's our snaggle-tooth now. He might be singing "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth!"

Look at us - no kids! |
One day we left the kids and grandparents at the resort and Ryan and I went on a canoe tour. It was a cool trip and we got to see the island caves. This young boy paddled us around. I think he is so cute.
