Perth, Australia

Gong Xi Fa Cai

literally means...Wishing you a financially prosperous year

The Lamothes spent Chinese New Year in Perth, Australia. We had a wonderful time, enjoyed some good food, beautiful scenery and great weather.

Swan River
We went to Caversham Wildlife Park and we saw lots of native Australian animals.

Us and a Wombat

Lots of kangaroos

Koalas
Koalas sleep a lot. The eucalyptus leaves they eat are not very nutritious, so they conserve their energy by sleeping 20 hours a day!
We went to the farm show!

Sheep Shearing

The kids were told the first one to finish their bottle was the winner.  Luckily, the lambs did the drinking!

It's summer time in Australia. The night and mornings were cool and the days were hot. We had a great time, I wish we could have stayed longer. Or maybe, go back for another visit?
